Canoe trip through South Jutland!by Visit Rømø & Tønder

A canoe trip on Brede Å is the ideal activity for everyone, regardless of age and experience. This experience offers something for everyone, whether young or older, experienced or beginner. We offer different routes for your sailing:
  • Tour 1: This 7.5 km long route takes 2-3 hours to complete and takes you through the idyllic South Jutland countryside. The tour starts at Ellum Bygade and ends in Bredebro.
  • Tour 2: With a duration of 4-6 hours and a length of 15 km, this route guides you through varied landscapes such as heaths, forests and urban areas. The starting point is Lobækvej, and the tour also ends in Bredebro.
  • Tour 3: Designed for the adventurous, this route is ideal for those who want a longer trip with the possibility of accommodation in Bredebro. With a length of between 27 and 35 km, this tour ends at the gate of the Wadden Sea in Ballum (Ballum Sluse).
During the canoe trip on Brede Å you will have an amazing nature experience in beautiful South Jutland. Enjoy the silence and beauty of the landscape as you paddle along the creek, surrounded by marshlands. The area is known for its rich wildlife, especially the birds, and allows you to observe different species of birds in their natural habitat. The route gives you the freedom to choose your own pace and path. You can calmly sail through the calm waters of the creek while letting yourself be enchanted by the changing colors and sounds of the landscape. Brede Å offers a relaxing and enriching experience for nature lovers and adventurous souls alike. Hop into the canoe, embark on this unique sailing and experience South Jutland in a very special way.
What is included
The tour is all-inclusive:
  • Canoe (3 adults per canoe or 2 adults and 2 children)
  • Paddles for all persons
  • Final cleaning incl.
  • Transportation of canoes to the starting place and pickup from the end place.
  • Life jackets for adults and children
Practical information
  • Tour 1 starts at Ellum Bygade (where the stream crosses the road)
  • Tour 2 start at Lobækvej (where the stream crosses the road)
  • Tour 3 starts either at Lobækvej or at Lemmosevej
