An evening with the beer in the center - when Jørgen Rüdinger presents no less than 8 different types of beer, which of course also have to be tasted and enjoyed. Jørgen has more than 20 years of experience from Carlsberg, he has a solid knowledge of both Carlsberg's history and range as well as the rest of the beer world. He is therefore a cornucopia of funny and funny stories, songs and all the knowledge about beer you could imagine.

The monastery café, is referred to as Tønder's oldest house. This magnificent late Gothic gabled house, known from the Middle Ages, is believed to have been built in 1520 as a guild house for the Kalende Brotherhood of Tønders. The house is today Denmark's only preserved calendar house. Calendar houses were used for\ consumption of food and drink after church services. It is not known when the calendar guild ceased, but guilds were banned in Denmark from 1618.

City walk Downtown Tønder. - with Æ Kagmand.by Visit Rømø & Tønder
The tour starts at Statuen på Torvet, where I tell you about Kagmanden's job. Via the Humlekærren, the Old Town Hall and the old Nødkirkegård you walk to Smedegade and Kirkeplads. In the meantime, I tell you a little about the buildings, life in them, some disasters and what we do to avoid them, as well as a few famous people. \ On to the explanations of why the Klostercafeen has nothing to do with our monastery. Why is the street called Spikergade in Danish and who was the “uncle” who lived in it? Further to how Wulfstrasse could turn into Uldgade in a city where, until about 20 years ago, all “natives” spoke almost fluently Danish and German. Further past Fristaden, Emma's sister and how the beautiful Kreditbank went bankrupt because of a priest in Skærbæk. \ The tour ends at Drøhses House/Victoria with tales of Lace, the Altarpiece in the Church and a world record.

Discover and hear the history of the Danish and German cultural landscape on the coast; find out why Emil Nolde, the great Danish/German artist, has settled right there. Visit his museum and splendid garden with us; get wise on the dykes and friezes, and have a chat about the Danish kingdom on German islands and pimps. We visit the place where the tourist island of Sild has a railway embankment to the mainland, and hear about how the islands on both sides have developed as resorts. We take a break along the way, where we serve takeaway sandwiches and drinks. The trip from/to Tønder lasts 6 hours. We travel by bus and have an experienced guide with us all the time. Festive Festival Sønderjysk coffee table at Klægagerby Visit Rømø & Tønder
Welcome to Klægager and their lovely coffee table, where everything is home-baked. Calling it a coffee table is perhaps a bit of a misnomer, as it is very much the cakes that steal the picture. \\ The original number of cakes, dating from the 19th century, offers 21 different ones. \ Seven soft, seven hard and seven dry cakes. Although the tradition says 21 cakes, at Klægager they have chosen to reduce the amount to 14 cakes, as very few can fit 21 cakes in just one afternoon. But — they still make it to 21, as they spice up the afternoon with seven beautiful stories, funny anecdotes and historical tales. You will therefore have to taste 14 kinds of dry, soft and hard cakes, as well as experience Klegg cakes and hear stories. They cover up with their fine collection cups in the cozy rooms and they are looking forward to seeing you. Registration closes Thursday, Aug. 21, at 10:00am About: Stickers The Old Digg Greve's Farm In this historical setting, you can relax and feel or immerse yourself in the history of the place and the region and plan trips in the magnificent South Jutland nature. Kleggager was built in 1857 in the West Schleswig/Frisian style and is a four-length conservation-worthy farm. It has been owned by the family since it was built and is now in the 7th generation. Klægager was named “Denmark's Most Beautiful Farm” in 2017. Communicating the history of the farm and the possibilities of the area is a matter of the heart for us. You will get the story of Tønder's good beer and about the cunning tractor places that have long since disappeared. We start in front of Rådhuskælderen on Torvet and move down to SAMMEN, where we taste a dram, continue through the city, down Punchstien and end at Hagges with a sun egg and a cold draft beer. \ Along the way, you will hear the story of the 79 taverns that existed in the city 150 years ago. In the Footsteps of the Festival through Tønder Havn and Nystad. with Banemand Hansen.by Visit Rømø & Tønder
*Starting place: * Bachmann's Watermill. *End Place: * Hagge's Pub. Take a walk with Banemand Hansen, where we follow in the footsteps of the Tønder Festival through Tønder. We start at Bachmanns Vandmølle/ Visemøllen. The tour continues along Jomfrustien, the refuge of the blacksmith Andersens Kælder. \ Along the way, Banemand Hansen tells a little about Tønder Havn and the vote on February 10, 1920. Banemand Hansen tells about his arrival at Tønder H in 1920 and Nystaden. The tour goes through some of Nystaden and ends at Gasthof am Westbahn/ Hagge's Pub. \ With a bit of jumping back and forth in time along the way, it will also make sense why the tour is named in Footprints of the Festival. In Wegner's Footstepsby Visit Rømø & Tønder
Tønder formed the setting for the world-famous furniture architect Hans J. Wegner's upbringing. It was here that he was born, and here he received the carpentry training that shaped his basic idea that design should have a strong base in the craft. We walk through Tønder and visit some of the places where Wegner traveled during the years he lived in Tønder. Wegner was born in 1914 in Smedegade opposite Tønder Kristkirke, where his father Peder Wegner ran a shoemaker's workshop. A workshop that was an integral part of the family's life, and where the young Hans got an early taste for wood and craftsmanship. We also pass by Vidåen, which was one of the places where the young Hans often sat and carved small sculptures in wood, and which later formed the inspiration for several of his well-known furniture, including the Fish Cabinet — one of his most well-known and admired furniture. On the tour you can also hear a little about some of Wegner's famous furniture. And about the plans for a future Museum Wegner on the farm Hestholm just outside Tønder. We end by visiting the brothers Bo and Anders Jacobsen's private collection of rare Wegner furniture in Møbelhuset 2.

On the trail of the Zeppelins in Tønderby Visit Rømø & Tønder
*Start/end place: * Flyhangaren i Soldaterskoven (Flyhangaren has no address but you can enter Ribelandevej 58H and otherwise look at the attached maps. There is a sign with Soldaterskoven at the entrance from Ribelandevej) If you walk/cycle from Torvet, it is about 4.5 km away. On the Trail of the Zeppelins in Tønder Under 1. World War II, the German navy had an airship base north of what was then German Tønder. The airships monitored the North Sea and conducted bombing raids on England. In July 1918, the British attacked the base in the world's first successful air raid by an aircraft carrier. There are still traces in the landscape of the giant airship halls and soldiers' barracks, and an aircraft hangar from 1916 still exists. Join museum inspector René Rasmussen on a guided tour following the traces of the events of world history. Length of the trip approx. 3 km. in hilly terrain. You have to wear good footwear and be able to “climb over” a fallen tree trunk or two. Not available for poor walkers. Note: There is no toilet out there.
